SciGirls Strategies: Gender Equitable Teaching Practices in Career and Technical Education Pathways for High School Girls is a three-year professional development initiative designed to help STEM and CTE educators recruit and retain more high school girls from diverse backgrounds in STEM pathways.
The Educational Pathways Into College & Career (EPICC) ITEST project is working with 30 students per year for 3 years at 3 different Oakland high schools. Students will receive school credit while participating in a school-based summer program that uses a linked learning model to integrate the science and engineering of solar power technology with service learning, and mathematics.
Locate key resources on the STELAR website: access evaluation instruments, publications and curricular materials used or developed by ITEST projects, and view details about current and past events, news, and dissemination opportunities.
STELAR maintains curated lists of resources on the following themes: ITEST Program Findings contains resources disseminated by ITEST projects organized by content area; ITEST Proposal Development is an organized list of resources relevant for those interested in learning more about the ITEST proposal writing and submission process; and STELAR Materials are information developed and published by the ITEST Program’s Resource Center. This video will explore each of these sections in detail.
