On Thursday, December 8, STELAR hosted a webinar with Kumar Garg, Vice President of Partnerships and Managing Director of the Science Technology and Society portfolio at Schmidt Futures. Founded by Eric and Wendy Schmidt, Schmidt Futures is a philanthropic initiative that brings talented people together in networks to prove out their ideas and solve hard problems in science and society. Garg’s work focuses on harnessing the potential of science and technology for the public good. Prior to his work with Schmidt Futures, Garg served multiple roles within the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) under the Obama Administration.

During the webinar, Mr. Garg expanded on the keynote presentation he provided during the 2022 ITEST PI meeting, in which he reflected on his experiences and shared his perspectives on trends and opportunities (watch the keynote recording). The webinar allowed Garg to respond to questions posed during the event and engaged in further discussion with the ITEST Community.
