STELAR Webinar: Proposal Development - Writing a Compelling Project Description
DESCRIPTION
STELAR's ITEST Proposal Development Course is a free resource designed to guide novice NSF proposal writers through the process of developing a full proposal for the August 13 ITEST solicitation deadline. On Thursday, February 18, STELAR held an orientation webinar to provide a broad overview of the modules included in the course.
On Thursday, March 18 at 3 pm ET STELAR held a webinar for our Proposal Development Course series: Writing a Compelling Project Description
The project description provides you with your one and only opportunity to convince the review panel and program officers that your proposal deserves to be funded. Project details need to be well thought out, technically accurate, and concisely articulated in order to present this information in a 15-page, single-spaced document. In this webinar participants:
- learned about the technical requirements of the project description so that your proposal is sure to include all required elements,
- learned about the primary review criteria (Intellectual Merit and Broader Impacts),
- learned about the solicitation-specific criteria,
- learned about the characteristics of a compelling project description

Please note: The focus of this webinar will be on the technical aspects of completing the proposal requirements and will not cover general ITEST questions nor project-specific questions. For general ITEST questions please refer to the Proposal Development Resources on STELAR’s website, including the 2020 solicitation webinars. For project-specific advice we suggest emailing a one page description of your proposed project along with your questions to NSF at DRLITEST@nsf.gov.
