Opportunities

STELAR invites ITEST project members interested in the topics listed below to join working groups designed to explore areas of broader interest to NSF. The goal of these groups is to engage ITEST colleagues in deep conversations, explore the ways ITEST engages with these topics, and develop products (primers, thematic research briefs, webinars, conference presentations...) to share broadly the ITEST experience.        

Working group topics and aims: 

• Learning Sciences – Aim to develop a primer on how ITEST is addressing learning sciences 
• Career Development – Aim to understand STEM career development and share how ITEST is addressing STEM Career Development  
• Equity – Aim to identify partners to discuss and pilot test the use of the EQCC as a tool to help communities explore equity issues and drive action towards positive change.   
• Immigration/Refugee Education – Aim to develop a primer capturing the educational challenges faced by immigrant/refugee communities and how ITEST is addressing immigrant/refugee education.
