Making Computer-Supported Learning Accessible to Students with Disabilities
by Sheryl Burgstahler (UW)

Abstract: Explore issues related to designing online learning that is accessible to students with a broad range of disabilities that affect sight, hearing, mobility, and learning. Learn about accessible/universal design strategies and resources for further learning.

 The webinar will be on Thursday, January 26th (12:00 pm EST (e.g. New York/Toronto) / 11:00 am CST (e.g. Chicago/Madison) / 9:00 am PST (e.g. Los Angeles)

As basic preparation it is recommended that the participants should read the following article/s:

-  Burgstahler, Sheryl (2015). Universal Design of Instruction (UDI): Definition, Principles, Guidelines, and Examples. [online]
-  Burgstahler, Sheryl (2015). 20 Tips for Teaching an Accessible Online Course. [online]

The webinar is open to all NAPLeS members and interested persons in the Learning Sciences. You can participate as individual or as a group (e.g. during a class in a Learning Sciences program).
