Introducing STELAR’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Library

The ITEST program’s support of the research and development of models that build K-12 students’ capacity to participate in STEM and ICT has been demonstrated over the past 21 years. It is this history that has highlighted the necessity for STELAR to prioritize being both anticipatory and responsive to the needs of the increasingly diverse K-12 student population in the US. STELAR’s catalog of resources cultivating an ethic of equity provides materials you can leverage in your proposals and projects. 

With that in mind, we are excited to announce the creation and launch of STELAR’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Resource Library. This collection of journal articles and other publications has been specially curated by our DEIA Working Group (DEIA-WG) advisors. These nationally recognized experts work with the STELAR/ITEST community to aid our efforts in fostering and centralizing equity in every aspect of our work. We are thrilled to collaborate with Dr. Bang, Dr. Henderson, Dr. Ladson-Billings, Dr. Meyer, and Dr. Shaw, incorporating their guidance into our work and the ITEST program. We look forward to learning more about the DEIA work of our advisors in upcoming STELAR webinars scheduled for the fall. We invite you to browse the library by searching for resources using an author’s name (first and/or last), title, or keyword. If there are articles or relevant research that you feel would be a useful addition to the library, please let us know by submitting your suggestions via email. Also, if you have feedback about the site's navigation, we would love to hear your suggestions.
