Innovation Institute at the New York Hall of Science – offering teens the opportunity to be creators. Through this program participants learn how to apply the principles of design-thinking to make practical improvements in their community.
Innovation Institute provides the opportunity for youth to delve into concepts such as creative problem solving, innovation and entrepreneurship. We introduce a variety of processes that help develop inquisitive observation skills to identify problems in our local community. We explore tools and materials to prototype and build products and processes to solve those problems.
The internship experience exposes teens to a variety of STEM careers while building 21st century soft skills fundamental in navigating the shifting professional landscape.
